Role Overview

As an Adoption Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping our cats & kittens find their forever homes. This position involves engaging with potential adopters, guiding them through the adoption process, and ensuring that our cats are matched with loving families.

Key Responsibilities

Adopter Engagement: Communicate with potential adopters to provide information about available cats and kittens, answer questions, and help them find the right match based on their lifestyle and preferences.

Application Processing: Review adoption applications thoroughly, including contacting personal and veterinary references to verify the suitability of potential adopters.

Finalizing Adoptions: Assist in the final stages of adoption by coordinating and delivering cats and kittens to their new homes or designated adoption centers/events.

Adoption Events: Participate in adoption events to represent Lyons Paw Rescue, showcase our cats, and facilitate on-site adoptions.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with potential adopters and assessing their compatibility with our cats.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on all aspects of the adoption process.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for adoption deliveries and events.
